Just after the sun went down behind the trees at Lewes Lake last Monday, I drove to the Watson/Wheaton Valley to catch the latest sunbeams of the day illuminating the mountain ridges overlooking Annie Lake. This panorama taken from the frozen lake offers a nice view on Needle Mountain (left) and Mount Gilliam (right).

That’s this time of the year again where the days get longer every day. Around 2pm yesterday, the sun was already setting gently behind the trees on the shores of Lewes Lake.
