Years ago, Fritz Mueller began to photograph and investigate the wild landscapes near his adopted Yukon home. He is now one of Yukon’s most accomplished Nature photographers. His wife Teresa Earle, is a writer, editor and consultant. She has written for such magazines as Canadian Geographic and Explore.

This book is divided up into a series of five chapters, each one exploring a different aspect of the Yukon Territory: “Light”, “Patterns”, “Flows”, “Systems” and “A Wilder Place”. Each chapter begins with an introductory essay with a collection of superb images following immediately.

With almost 130 photographs within the 160 pages of this book there is plenty to look at. All the photographs are displayed without clutter, this makes them appreciably enjoyable.

This is a good book for anyone interested in this part of Canada and would be particularly useful to someone intending to visit and wants to have some idea of what to expect.
